REFUNDSX

Last updated: August 6, 2026

The short version

  • All sales are final. Terminal X subscriptions and one-time purchases are non-refundable.
  • Cancel anytime. You can stop future renewals from Settings → Plan & Usage. Your current period stays active until it expires.
  • EU consumers retain the statutory 14-day withdrawal right described in Section 4.
  • Bought in the mobile app? App Store and Google Play purchases are billed by Apple or Google — refunds and cancellations for those go through the store, not us (Section 10).

1. No refunds

Terminal X does not offer refunds on subscription fees or one-time purchases. This applies to:

  • Monthly and annual subscription charges, in full and in part.
  • Credit packs, gift codes, and any other one-time top-ups.
  • Periods during which you did not use the Service after charging.
  • Periods after cancellation while your subscription was still paid through.

By subscribing, you acknowledge that your charge is final and that you have read this policy.

2. Cancellation (anytime)

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Plan & Usage, via the Manage billing button. Cancellation stops the next renewal — your current paid period stays active until it expires, and you keep access to everything your plan includes until then. You will not be charged again after the period ends.

Cancellation does not trigger a refund of the current period. If you want both, cancel from Settings; refunds beyond that are limited to the cases in Section 4.

3. Why no refunds

Terminal X is a digital service delivered instantly: the moment you subscribe, your account is provisioned and credits become available to spend. We pay the underlying AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, ElevenLabs, Runway, etc.) at the moment each call is made — those costs cannot be reversed.

A no-refund policy lets us keep prices low. Refundable services must build the cost of returns into every customer's price; non-refundable services don't.

4. EU consumers — 14-day statutory withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right under Directive 2011/83/EU to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason.

This right is forfeited once Service has begun being performed with your express consent — which happens automatically when you make your first AI call. By using Terminal X after subscribing, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the statutory withdrawal right at that moment.

To exercise withdrawal before using the Service, email support@terminalxapp.comwithin 14 days of your first charge with the subject "EU withdrawal" and your account email. We will refund the charge in full.

5. Failed AI calls and outages

Credits are only deducted for successful AI calls. If a provider returns an error, you are not charged credits for that call. For partial successes within multi-task workflows, only the successful tasks are metered.

For material outages (over 4 hours of confirmed downtime in a billing period), we may, at our discretion, credit affected accounts with additional credits — not cash refunds. Email support@terminalxapp.comwith the subject "Outage credit" if you believe you were affected.

6. Chargebacks and reclaimed credits

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks incur a flat fee from Stripe plus the disputed amount, and most issues are resolved faster by email than by your bank.

Accounts that initiate chargebacks may be suspended or permanently terminated pending review. Successfully disputing a charge does not automatically refund any portion of the disputed amount; it transfers the matter to Stripe's dispute resolution.

Refunding or disputing a credit pack takes back the unspent credits. If you buy a credit pack for a Terminal X API key and that charge is later refunded, or you open a card dispute against it, we automatically remove from that key any credits from that purchase you have not yet spent. We never take back more than the pack added, and credits you have already spent are not clawed back — that work was already run and already paid for on our side. Your monthly plan credits are not affected.

This runs the moment a dispute is opened, not when it is decided, because credits can be spent in minutes and there is nothing left to reclaim by the time a bank rules. If a dispute is resolved in your favour, email support@terminalxapp.com and we will put the credits back on your key.

7. How to cancel

Cancel a subscription from Settings → Plan & Usage Manage billing. The control labelled cancel subscription sits under your current plan.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end your plan on the spot — the subscription is set to close at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access and your credits until that date. You will see an on-screen confirmation with the exact end date. We do not send an email at that moment. The cancellation email is sent later, when the paid period actually runs out and the subscription closes — on an annual plan that can be up to a year after you cancelled.

If you subscribed inside the Terminal X mobile app, cancel in the store instead — store subscriptions can only be cancelled through the store that sold them. On iOS: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

If you cannot reach the billing settings (e.g., locked out), email support@terminalxapp.comwith the subject "Cancel" and the email address on your account.

8. Account deletion (separate from cancellation)

Cancelling a subscription stops future charges but keeps your account and data. To permanently delete your account and data under GDPR, go to Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is irreversible and immediate; it does not trigger any refund of paid amounts.

If you have an active subscription bought on the web, deleting your account cancels it as part of the same action — we will not leave a subscription billing an account that no longer exists. If the cancellation fails for any reason, the deletion is stopped and your account is left intact rather than proceeding.

One exception — subscriptions bought in the mobile app. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, that subscription is billed by Apple or Google and we cannot cancel it for you, even when you delete your account. Cancel it in the store first: on iOS, Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, Play Store → Subscriptions. Otherwise it will keep renewing.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes apply to charges incurred after the effective date — the policy version under which you bought is the version that applies to that charge.

10. In-app purchases (App Store and Google Play)

Subscriptions purchased inside the Terminal X mobile app — on iOS or Android — are sold and billed by Apple or Google through In-App Purchase, not by us directly. Our no-refund policy still applies, but because the store is the merchant of record, we cannot issue or process refunds for those purchases.

App Store purchases are billed by Apple to your Apple ID.

  • To request a refund, use Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds are granted at Apple's discretion under its policy.
  • To stop future renewals, cancel in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.

Google Play purchases work the same way, with Google as the merchant of record. Request a refund at play.google.com/store/account — Play purchases are automatically refundable within 48 hours, and discretionary after that. To stop future renewals, cancel in Play Store → Subscriptions.

This section applies only to purchases made inside the Terminal X mobile app, on either iOS or Android. Purchases made on the web are billed by Stripe and governed by the rest of this policy.
